Pride isn't only for the LGBTQ+ community -- EVERYONE BENEFITS when we embrace and celebrate gender and sexual diversity, as well as challenge and break down oppressive factors that limit the inherently diverse expression of the human spirit. It's about healing shame and fear where none should exist.
We all have been oppressed/imprisoned in one form or another by rigid norms defining "appropriate" gender and sexual expression. (I still find myself working through residues of internalized homophobia/gender conflict.)
So, for the entire month of June (but, really, EVERY SINGLE DAMN DAY) I support your right to express yourself in whatever way your heart desires. I'm in your corner, always
