When you close your eyes to meditate, and the thinking mind ceases to dominate you, you exist as you are: an ocean of stillness, peacefulness, and inexpressible fulfillment. In this deep inner state, all dogma and doctrine and sin and need for salvation become moot--all these exist in the realm of the thinking mind. All that remains is Spirit, delighting in its own quiet beauty. When you reach this placeless place--not an easy task!--the artificial boundaries that separate and divide us dissolve. "Jew" and "Christian" and "Muslim" and "Buddhist" (and so on) dissolves into the unpretentious Truth of our Oneness.
