Your pain is a story that needs to be told. It needs to be noticed, understood, and shared with trusted others who can hold an agenda-free space for it. You can’t fully heal and grow into wholeness if your pain isn’t embraced as an integral dynamic of your human story. When you viscerally connect with your pain and express it, without judgment and shame, you begin to re-discover who you truly are, and what you once desired and longed for. For many of us, our deepest unfulfilled desire -- and the greatest source of our pain -- was to be seen and loved and celebrated for just being ourselves. We can still do this.
